You have received your Real Estate License and now you must take a series of Post-Licensing Courses that cover more detail. Topics addressed in this course include: a review of agency relationships in real estate residential and commercial sales and commercial property management transactions, a real estate broker’s legal duties to clients and customers, discussion of the functions and responsibilities of a real estate broker when working with sellers and buyers, a review of issues associated with transactions in progress when a broker leaves a firm, and, a review of license status and education issues.
Topics addressed in this course include: basic contract law concepts, real estate sales contract preparation, sales contract procedures, buyer’s due diligence, closing procedures, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, closing disclosures preparation, contracts for deed, options, and real estate license status and education issues.
Topics addressed in this course include: general North Carolina licensing requirements, brokerage compensation issues, the disciplinary process, specialized types of real estate, property management in NC, and miscellaneous NC laws and legal concepts.
THE GENUP IS A seated 4-hour Mandatory Update required to be completed each license year. The General Update is NOT for BIC-eligible or BIC brokers.
Every Broker-in-Charge or BIC-Eligible broker is required to take the seated Mandatory 4-hour BICUP each license year, or forfeit BIC status.
Every Broker is required to take a 4-hour (seated or online) elective each license year to maintain active status.
