BECOMING A LICENSED RE BROKER IN NORTH CAROLINA.
- Complete a 75-hour Broker Pre-License course
- Pass the Course Exam
- Pass the License Exam
- Affiliate (join) with a FIRM and be supervised by a BIC (Broker-in-Charge)
- The BIC will activate your license

All new brokers must take 3-30 hr Post Licensing classes, in any order, within 18 months of getting their license.

If you don't complete the Post Education (from the date of your license out 18 months) you will go inactive and cannot practice real estate

CE is required every license year, after the brokers first license renewal. CE consistes of a 4-hr Update and a 4-hr Elective before June 10th of the license year.

plus a
4-hr ELECTIVE

CE runs from July 1 of the current year to June 10 of the following year.
